GROUND FLOOR · BREAKFAST & BRUNCH
Glasgow's Most Atmospheric Breakfast and Brunch
Breakfast, brunch and lunch at Saints of Ingram, on Ingram Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City. By day the panelled dining room fills with light from the tall windows, and the room that serves steak and seafood by candlelight becomes something gentler: an easy place for a full breakfast, a weekend brunch, good coffee and a proper start to the day.
THE DAYTIME MENU
Three ways through the morning.
The room wakes in softer colours. A full breakfast and brunch through the morning, daytime plates into the afternoon, and proper coffee from the moment the doors open. Three ways through the day in one of the Merchant City’s most characterful rooms.
THE MORNING
Breakfast & Brunch
The full Saints breakfast and its vegan counterpart, eggs done properly (Royale, Benedict, Florentine), and sweeter starts like pistachio waffles and hazelnut French toast, with lighter options like overnight oats. Unhurried breakfast and brunch in the heart of the Merchant City.
MIDDAY
Lunch & Daytime
Daytime plates with a bit more to them. Saints signatures like steak and eggs, chicken and waffles and the New York croissant bun, alongside Thai beef, supergrain and Caesar salads, with fries and sides to share. An easy lunch near George Square.
FROM OPEN
Coffee, Tea & Juices
Properly made coffee from espresso and flat whites to iced lattes and matcha, a full loose-leaf tea list, and fresh juices alongside. Everything the morning asks for, whether you’re starting the day or rounding off a long, late breakfast in the room.
Breakfast & Brunch
A long, easy table to start the day.
Breakfast here is generous and unhurried. Full Scottish and vegan breakfasts, eggs Royale, Benedict and Florentine, and sweeter plates like hazelnut French toast and pistachio waffles. The kind of breakfast you settle into rather than rush.
At the weekend it stretches into brunch: bigger plates, a glass of something cold, and no reason at all to look at the clock. Come for an early bite or stay through the morning, the room keeps its own relaxed time.
The Room & The Building
Two hundred years of mornings on Ingram Street.
The restaurant sits on the ground floor of Hutchesons’ Hall, the Category A listed building designed by David Hamilton in 1802, anchoring Glasgow’s Merchant City for more than two centuries. By day the room shows its age in the best way: dark panelling, original mirrors and carved detail, all softened by the light coming off Ingram Street.
Grand bones, but worn in and easy, a place that wears the morning as well as it wears the evening. The same ground-floor room serves steak and seafood by candlelight once the day turns.
“The same old room, just with the curtains thrown open.”
